In contemporary buildings, virtually all services — HVAC systems, fire detection, plumbing, electrical conduits, and data infrastructure — live above the false ceiling. Accessing them for installation, service, or repair means breaking or dismantling the ceiling itself. The global ceiling access market has offered just one or two legacy aluminium designs for decades — all limited to 600×600mm or 1200×600mm at best, with no customization, no large-format option, and designs that warp and sag over time. Architects resort to wooden improvisation that looks poor and fails fast. Skyhatch changes this entirely.

What is the maximum size available for SKYHATCH trap doors?
Our ZENITH+ series (CTD25) can be manufactured up to 18′ x 8′ (5500 x 2400mm). This is currently the largest modular ceiling trap door available globally.
What ceiling materials can SKYHATCH accommodate?
Skyhatch shutters support any 10–12 mm ceiling finish material, including:

The finish is applied on-site to match the surrounding ceiling, making the trap door visually invisible.
What is the visible groove size?
Our CTD25 ZENITH+ & Planea series features an innovative sliding hinge design that leaves only a 2-3mm visible groove around the shutter, making it blend seamlessly with the ceiling.

Each shutter is secured with steel safety wires and features both an Allen cal Lock and push-lock locking mechanism for enhanced security. The innovative sliding hinge system prevents the shutter from falling while ensuring smooth and easy access.
